Yes, this post is long overdue, but things have been busy. As always, this series of pictures captures many family visits which Hailey thoroughly enjoys. Who knew Eric and I would have a social butterfly! Also evident in these pics is Hailey’s amazing sense of humour.

Lots of random shots, many of them outdoors, as Hailey loves nature! She also enjoyed visits from aunt Karishma, great uncle Sargam, aunt Elaine, as well as a shopping trip with great aunt Janki and great aunt Nimu. Also in this album, Hailey’s two front teeth, scaling furniture, and introduction to solid foods.

Beebs and I took Hailey to Kariya Park by Square One in Mississauga. It’s a lovely little Japanese themed park where many couples go to take their wedding photos. We had a nice zen afternoon and took some really cute pics.

Beebs, Sabah, and Sal came out to watch our volleyball playoffs this week. While we did well during the season, placing 2nd, we just couldn’t make it to the championship game. However, we got some great pics and Mo received some good ol’ heckling!!!

Mo invited us to watch his very first hockey game. We were all dressed in red, ready to cheer him on. On the day of, he e-mailed us informing us that both teams were red and that pink was not an acceptable fan colour. When we got there, we found there was no red team, so we all just happened to look like we purchase our clothes in wholesale. Mo claims that they changed this last minute, but I think he just didn’t want to be embarrassed by his heckling “fans”!

As for his beginner league, it wasn’t so beginner. So, he managed to find another league and has convinced Eric to join. Now I’ll have to hear two gimpy players whining.

As some of you may recall, last Christmas we found a dog on our driveway and took him in for the morning until we could get in contact with his owners. Well, this Christmas, Mo thought we lost a dog. I woke up to Eric and Mo having a conversation at 2:30 a.m. It turns out Mo had checked every nook and cranny of the house, but Cujo was nowhere to be found. We all scurried around the house in the middle of the night like naughty children trying to sneak a peek at our presents. Finally, I brought out a torch light and starting scanning my parents’ bedroom hoping to find Cujo under the bed. I think Cujo may have found this new game entertaining, much like cats and laser pointers. He finally showed himself from under an ironing board and behind about five laundry baskets. I swear he is becoming more cat like everyday!

We won! Yeah! Take that Mo and Habeebah! After several intense games of Family Feud, we had our top game and beat the crowd by a mile! Where’s your winning game huh? HUH? :D

I’m a kid at heart. I also learned that I’m still kid-sized. I needed some summer clothes, things like t-shirts, tanks, etc., so I went looking for clothes which isn’t always easy because most of the clothes are too trendy for my taste, then I’m lucky if I can even find something that fits. After a little frustration, Bahar and I looked in the kids section at Sears, and BAM! I’m a kids large, the X-large are actualy too big. The clothes are dirt cheap, no PST and I used a gift card. I sorta feel guilty for taking advantage of it.

On Saturday my dad left on his motorcycle for a 6 week 16,000 km ride through North America along the infamous route 66. Starting from Toronto, Ontario, he follows route 66 southwest through the US to reach the west coast within 2 weeks. Then north along the coast to Vancouver and the Island, and finally back to Ontario through the US again.

He’s set up a webpage that he’ll be updating with pictures and commentary whenever he finds a wifi hotspot, currently he’s updated through day 3 (as of this posting, he’s on day 5). His webpage is here.

If it isn’t cool enough that he’s updating a webpage as he goes, he’s also using his APRS radio to broadcast his position, live! You can see where he is in real time on Google Maps here. In addition to that map, you can also view this page, which shows the weather radar for his region, in addition to other cool maps.

Eric's BrainThis is Eric’s Brain. While I was at UBC, a friend of mine was doing studies with MRI’s. He needed test subjects, and the incentive was a picture of your brain. I eagerly accepted and got to sit inside a long narrow tube with elevator music playing. I’m not really claustrophobic, and the loud “banging” of the machine didn’t bug me, but sitting in there for 2 hours was unpleasant. BUT I got these awesome pictures of my brain! How cool is that?

Check out the pictures. If any brain experts out there see anything odd with my brain, please let me know (and it would probably explain a few things!).
