Hailey’s first Christmas was a busy one with events at nana and nani’s, yia yia and uncle Ken’s, and Elaine and Joe’s. Getting a picture with Santa did not go as well as expected. Hailey got scared; can’t say I really blame her. All in all, the holidays were great. It’s amazing how much more enjoyable a baby can make the stressful season!

Akshay and Kerri came to visit just before Christmas this year. This was the first time Hailey met Akshay and she took to him instantly. It doesn’t hurt that he is a big kid himself and does great impressions. She got along great with Kerri as well. Too bad it was such a short visit.

Hailey celebrated her first Diwali this year. It was very low key, but she seemed to enjoy herself. We also took a trip to Guelph to visit the Gettas clan and Hailey had a ball with all the cats. Hailey loves animals; she really took to Sally when we visited yia yia and uncle Ken, despite her size.

This year we celebrated Hailey’s first Halloween!!! It was absolutely priceless. She got all dressed up and went trick-or-treating. To our surprise, she really enjoyed it. Note: Smarties make great rattles, until the box gets gummed up. Nisha and Habeebah decorated the house and made a spooky cake and also carved jack-o-lanterns along with Mo, Eric, and Kam.

Nisha visited for about three weeks this year. We had a blast with her and miss her already! Other than the usual shopping and mooching, we took Nisha to Niagara on the Lake, St. Jacobs, and Yorkdale. This album also includes pics from a kirtan hosted by aunt Nimu.

We took our first road trip this fall. We visited Sal, Sophie, and Caleb in Ottawa for the weekend. We had a great time with them and even got a chance to visit Dan.

Just some random shots, mostly during play time. Hailey enjoys playing with mirrors, the cat, tags / labels, and sometimes her toys :p She is also scaling furniture and looks quite proud of herself when doing so.

This was Hailey’s first raksha bandhan, which was quite exciting, since she has a rakhee brother, Caleb. We had a fantastic time celebrating at great aunt Nimu’s place, even though Caleb was more interested in chewing his rakhee! Check out the pics.

This summer we took Hailey out for some fun day trips while Eric was on vacation. We hit the Oakville Jazz fest, which turned out to be a really relaxing afternoon with gorgeous weather. She seemed to enjoy the flowers, trees, and plants more than anything else. We also took a trip to St. Jacobs, our go to spot, and Ancaster to visit yia yia and uncle Ken.
