Dayaram Wedding

Sal and Sophie were married on June 23rd, 2007 in Montreal. The entire family took a road trip down to celebrate. There were several events, including a mehendi party, rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception, and a brunch to end the weekend. The following week Sal's parents threw another reception at Roma's place in Toronto.

Mehendi Party

The mehendi party was held at the Holiday Inn hotel in Midtown Montreal on June 21st. The hall was decorated beautifully and the food was excellent, especially the dessert. The highlite of the night was Sebastian trying to make a quick buck, or a quick hundred in this case! Check out the pics.

Rehearsal & Ceremony

The rehearsal was on June 22nd. It was quite informal; in fact, the groom almost wore a t-shirt. We had Chinese food for dinner and had a ball deciphering the fortune cookies. Mo was the entertainment with his leaning tower of cups. The wedding ceremony blended the two cultures quite well. Sal's mom and aunts added the Sikh prayer that's typically read during a Skih wedding. Check out the pics.

Wedding Reception

The reception was held at La Toundra, Parc Jean-Drapeau, which is surrounded by a race track. While we were hobbling in our heels, bikers were racing by us. We had a great time dancing the night away. Check out the pics.

Toronto Reception

For those who couldn't make the trip to Montreal, Sal's parents through a fantastic party at Roma's place in Mississauga. Dinner was great, and the dessert table was even better. Check out the pics.

Montreal Tour

On the 22nd, we were treated to a bus tour of Montreal and visited the Oratory, Mount Royal, Basilica, etc. Check out the pics.
