This pic was taken in an area around the core of Las Palmas. As you can see from the
architecture, it was one of the older areas we visited. The cobblestone walkways and
roads are another indication.
Another pic from the same area. The buildings in the background consisted of theatres,
museums, and libraries. It seemed to be a cultural area. Boy, were we out of place :p
This market square in Gran Canaria was built around a cathedral. However, we were more
interested in the market place, where you could find everything from clothing and art
work to bakery goods.
Here we are closer to the centre of Las Palmas, the main city in Gran Canaria. The small
garden is built on a traffic island near one of the many cathedrals.
