MUSEUM OF SCIENCE
The following pics were all taken at Boston’s Museum of Science.
Unfortunately, I don’t have many good things to say about this attraction. The
entire site seemed to target young children. I find the Ontario Science Center
much more interactive and informative. Speaking of little kids, I have
reaffirmed my hate for children. I know this may sound strong, but try enjoying
the planetarium with a wailing kid and an apparently deaf mother.
Yes, even on vacation, we are the biggest geeks ever. Anyone
who knows Salty and has seen his basement will fully understand why I had to
take this picture.
Here is R2D2, again reaffirming our nerdiness!
Here you can see Gopher trying real hard to build his
hand/eye coordination skills! Actually, the experiment uses a prism to invert
images horizontally, so images approaching from the right seem to come from the
left and vice-a-versa. The goal is to bring the two rods into contact with each
other. Things like this always sound retarded when you try to explain them.
Here is Salty on the prowl! Pretty girl….. Pounce! This
experiment actually tests your peripheral vision, which should be able to
detect objects in a ~270˚ range.
Here you can see Nisha working on the same experiment as
Gopher and she kicked his ass too! Just don’t ask him about it, because he’ll
claim she cheated.
