SALEM
We were highly disappointed in Salem. We expected a quaint historic town.
Instead, we found ourselves in the middle of a commercial area, with tourist
gift shops, corporate law firms, and restaurants all in the same area.
This is one of the first figures you see coming into Salem.
Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out too well, but it was pretty cool. We even
stopped traffic to get a few shots.
Grave digging…. this is what we do for fun on vacation. This might be the
only thing in Salem that wasn’t commercialized. Sad, huh?
This wasn’t much of a museum. They just played a video on
witch trials and whatnot. However, there was some interesting information
outside the theatre. Apparently, witches were never burned at the stake in Salem.
That was only done in England. There were some other interesting tidbits;
however, my memory is shot.
