ROAD TRIPS
Here are various pictures taken along the way. Horses and
sheep can be seen almost anywhere out of the city (away from lava fields). Iceland
has sheep the way we have squirrels, they are just about everywhere you look
and are often considered a nuisance. Icelanders are very proud of their horses
and export them. These horses are direct descendents of the horses the Vikings
brought; there has been no cross/mix breeding. They are incredibly strong, but short.
If a horse is taken out of Iceland,
it cannot return due to fear of disease and thus deterioration of the breeds.
