HOTEL VIEW
The hotel that we stayed in was very impressive, but you can
read about that in the other pages. Part of the beauty was that you could see the
Taj Mahal from the hotel lobby and rooms. Each room had a terrace, so I got pics
of the Taj Mahal from my room too. Check them out.
This was my first view of the Taj Mahal, through the hotel lobby. We arrived
there in the evening and my digicam has a pathetic flash, hence the dark view.
The outline of the Taj Mahal still looks impressive. We went to see
the Taj Mahal on that night, albeit only for an hour. Its too bad that they
close the site by 7pm. I think the Taj Mahal would look amazing showered with
flood lights.
Here's the first shot of the Taj Mahal early in the morning off the balcony
in the room. The hazy air was standard for India. I had tea with my dad on the
balcony looking out to the Taj Mahal. Yet again, really nice, but something you
should definitely do with your date.
Here's another picture, slight more to the left. Same verbage applies. If
you get the impression that the trip to the Taj Mahal made me depressed to be
single again, you're dead on. Oh well...at least its better than fighting with
your date cause you're not planning anything as romantic as killing 20,000
workers to construct a monument as her grave. :P
