ODD INTERESTS
So, our interests followed us. A group full of techies actually
found some of this stuff funny. This is what happens when you put an
engineer, an EIT, a CSer, and a physicist together.
Salty's fav. We all got a real kick out of this one. Yes, we're
all major geeks! While departing, we noticed one of the systems
that displays the flight schedules was rebooting. If that's not
bad enough, it was running Win2K. If that doesn't phase you,
I dunno what will!
Spacey's fav. He fell in love with teletext, which displays all
kinds of information from weather to sports results in a very concise
manner. I'm sure I'm not doing it justice, so you'll have to ask him
about it. In fact he used it to learn Spanish - you add 'o' to the end
of an English word and it becomes Spanish!
Salty really missed playing bball, especially after seeing a bunch
of cute girls playing across the street from Nisha's place. He had just
sprained his ankle before we left. He was doing surprisingly well,
even though we were running to catch our flights and only had minutes to
spare on more than one occasion.
Spacey took this pic for the temperature. However, I noticed the
little spacey kid. I bet that's exactly how Spacey was as a child -
staring up into outer space. He is an astrophysicist after all.
