We first met at Xerox where I work full time. Bahar was on a work term placement at Xerox, and we saw each other frequently since we worked in the same area. The more we talked, the more we realized we had a lot in common. We first went out to watch a Maple Leaf's hockey game on big screen March 22, 2003 (a whole month before she finished her work term -- yep Eric's a fast mover). We continued to go out and watch hockey games during April (thank you Leafs for lasting 7 games in the playoffs) and things really clicked. She was going back to Waterloo for school after her work term, so we weren't sure how things were going to go. As you can tell things went really well, since we're getting married! Bahar was born and raised in Liberia, Africa, and moved to Canada at the age of 9. She moved across the GTA from Scarborough to Etobicoke to Mississauga, where she currently resides. She just graduated from Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo in June 2005. She enjoys playing volleyball, squash, and basketball, and loves watching hockey, which incidentally landed her the man of her dreams. Eric was born and raised in neighbouring Oakville. He has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Physics from McMaster University and a Master's from the University of British Columbia. Eric enjoys playing volleyball and attempts to be a goalie in hockey. Although he hasn't travelled much outside of Canada, Bahar is making sure he sees the world!
